Defending a target of 229 runs, MI restricted GT to 208/6 in 20 overs. Sai Sudharsan top-scored for GT, smacking 80 off 49 runs, but it wasn’t enought as he didn’t receive much support from the other batters. Meanwhile, Trent Boult struck twice for MI. MI are also through to Qualifier 2 and will face PBKS for a berth in the final. The match began with MI skipper Hardik Pandya won the toss and opted to bat. Opener Rohit Sharma top-scored for MI, registering 81 runs off 50 balls, packed with nine fours and four sixes. PrasidhKrishna and Sai Kishore bagged two-wicket hauls for GT.The winner of the clash moves on to Qualifier 2, where they will face PBKS for a spot in the final.
